How MileMarketplace works

A simple, escrow-protected way to buy and sell airline miles. Buyers find the award seat they want, then buy the exact miles to book it.

For buyers

Find the seat first, then buy the miles to book it.

1

Find award availability

Search an award tool like PointsYeah or seats.aero to see which airline programs have the exact seat and date you want.
2

Pick the right miles program

Note the loyalty program with the award space — for example Air Canada Aeroplan, British Airways Avios, or Singapore KrisFlyer.
3

Choose a seller

Open that program on the marketplace and pick a seller — offers are listed cheapest-first.
4

Buy the miles or request the ticket

Pay securely. Your payment is held in escrow — the seller doesn't get paid yet.
5

Seller issues your ticket

The seller books the award in your name (or transfers the miles) and posts the confirmation. You verify it landed as described, and the payment is released.

For sellers

Turn miles you won't use into cash.

1

List your miles or ticket service

Create a listing — set a price per mile for your balance. When a buyer orders, you book their award ticket.
2

Receive an order

A buyer pays for your offer and the funds are held by MileMarketplace in escrow.
3

Deliver

Transfer the miles or issue the award ticket, then add the confirmation so the buyer can verify it.
4

Get paid

The buyer confirms delivery and we pay you out, minus our 5% fee.

Why escrow protects both sides

MileMarketplaceholds the buyer's payment from checkout until delivery is confirmed. The buyer never pays a stranger and hopes; the seller knows the money is committed before they transfer miles or issue a ticket. If something goes wrong, either side can open a dispute that freezes the funds for review.

A note on airline rules

Most loyalty programs restrict selling or transferring miles. Issuing a ticket for someone is usually lower-risk than transferring miles, but all sales carry risk to the accounts involved. MileMarketplaceprovides escrow and messaging — it doesn't change the airlines' terms. Use the platform responsibly and at your own risk.
